LOL....i dont think he would have been as calm as he was if it were for real. He tried to make it look real by cutting away and coming back, making everything think they stopped to take care of his hand. If it were me I would have continued rolling the footage..

The shoulder is doing pretty well, I started physical therapy yesterday and should be out of the sling in about 2 weeks. The pain isn't too bad but the doc said I did a real number on it this time.

Glad to hear the shoulder is doing well. Let's hope this is the last time you need surgery for it.

I"m no magician but I've always loved to come up with theories as to how magic tricks are done. If you notice, the magician never exposes the top side of his right hand throughout the entire routine. That tells me he probably had some type of gimmicked knife affect attached to his hand the entire routine. He has four cups. The top cup was probably marked in someway- an X, a dot, etc. The cup with the real knife was covered with the marked cup. After spinning the roulette table, the magician safely slams his hand down on one of the three remaining cups that are not marked, thus exposing the top of his hand right hand, which exposes the gimmicked knife, thus giving the illusion of the knife slicing through his hand. This is my theory, I could be wrong.

If you watch the video very very closely at the very beginning when he is flipping the knife in the air with his right hand...you can see the fake knife already on the top of his right hand. keep your eye focused on the black box of the fireplace.
