for all the advice, help, teachings, pick me ups, support, and attention i got from my depressing "i need a little motivation" thread i had the other day. i cant even begin to explain how appreciative of your guys help i am. today was a totally happy day for me as far as dealing with my hairloss. you guys have tried to drill it into my head a couple other times the same messages but they never stuck until now. it seems like the realization lightbulb in my head finally turned on and you guys were the ones that flipped the switch on.
i underdstand that i may still have on and off days dealing with my hairloss but i FINALLY think i have the strength to deal with it and its cause of all the support i got from you guys in my last thread. i think i got 3 pages of comments or something not including PM's. thats insane considering i was only venting and wasn't really looking for sympathy or anything. i appreciate it deeply and you guys are some of the koolest dudes i met honestly.
i took everyones advice that said "attitude is everything" and "confidence is key" and i used that advice while i was out today and i walked around with my head held high and had a swagger to my step, and i must admit it felt awesome. my self consciousness and paranoia went away. i even got the strength to flirt with a fine little bombshell at the store lol.
this may sound cheesy but another way to ensure i stay possitive about my hairloss is i printed a couple pictures out of myselfwith a shaved head and put them in my glove compartment in my car, so if im ever feeling down about my hairloss or w/e ill just take them out look at them and realize again what i was taught and that it doesn't look that bad.
and as some of you know i have "ulcerative colitis" which is an intestinal disease so i have to take steroids for it which is making me gain weight (which is also making me happier) because ive been lifting and excercising like crazy the past 3 days so i can get big (im expected to gain 40 lbs in 2 months). i see brighter days ahead, thanks to you guys

the best way to thank someone who gives you advice is to follow it. Anytime you have a bad day come back to that post you started and read all the advice again. Glad things are working out for you.

Likewise glad to read to your taking things on the up dude, and it's really reflective to anyone who can identify with the things you've mentioned. To some degree or other that'll be all of us.
To echo the sentiments you've said from another standpoint, I'm BBC and to be frank when I joined this forum it was mainly from the purposes of headshaving/grooming needs etc. Just speaking for myself I've not been one for online groups, face book etc out interest or time but this site's become the exception.
The format in which attitude, confidence and advise is used to encourage understanding and behaviour in all sorts of areas of life & not just the obvious ones is FAB in this place. Best thing, it won't get old and I'm sure u or anyone else for that matter will always get continuing support from these unique bunch of people

That's what we're here for, Ghost. Hair loss sucks, no doubt about it and it's normal to have the occasional day when it bothers you. Those days will become less and less frequent as time passes. In the meantime, we're always here to give you a boost if you need it.

Ghost, congrats man. Confidence and swagger are like riding a bike: You might fall off once in a while, but you never forget how to do it once you get it.
Glad to hear that you've made your epiphany.
