I have the Comcast DVR.  I'd be perfectly happy if they would just live up to their advertising claims and offer a decent amount of HD channels.

I don't have either.  Just not my thing.
Kind of like iPods, I don't have one of those either.
I watch TV about like I listen to music I guess.  I do have DirecTV though.  Love that.

Why TiVo?

You can link them together over wireless internet and transfer recordings from one to the other.  It has a way BETTER interface and is easier to use than the DVR you get from your cable provider.  On my TiVo series 3 I can watch movies instantly from Netflix.  It has better search to find the programs you want to record.  It's AWESOME!
