Killjoy-Welcome to the Forum! As for your scars......... many of us have them. In the past they have been referred to on this site as "Dome Decor". I personally have two scars on my head and one on my chin. The ones on my head aren't very noticable because they are very old.I can't speak to the "impressions" that you mentioned but my general feeling is that they will become less and less noticable once you ditch that beast you're wearing on your head.Wear your scar with pride.......it's part of who you are.......

Thanks for the encouragement, I think I've decided to go for it when we're on vacation this summer. Hopefully that will give me time to get used to it and, maybe get a little bit of sun, to ease the transition. I'll defininately post pics with "hair", without, and after its all done... if I keep the kahones.

I'll defininately post pics with "hair", without, and after its all done... if I keep the kahones.Kahones???, I didn't know what a "folligraft" hair system was so I Googled it--it sounds like you let somebody take $500+ of your money then paste it on your dome in some fashion. If you've got the kahones to let someone do that, you certainly have them to take a razor and clean up your scalp yourself. $500, I mean Jesse James used a gun!If you've got money to waste, wait until summer, but if you'd like to be free of somebody messing w/ your head and save money at the same time--do it now. Get that thing off your head, buzz down, shave and be free. The scalp will do the rest for you. You endured enough, 6 years, get some freedom NOW.
I've been wanting to go sly for a while now, 2 things are primarily stopping me.1. I had a transplant when I was 18 (27 now), and am nervous about the scar.2. I've worn the "folligraft" hair system for 6 years, and I think its the cause of the 3-5 front to back ridges in my scalp starting just shy of the front of the system and go about half way back. The scar doesn't look too bad with short hair, so I think I can get passed that. But I was wondering if anyone else has had these ridges and if they went away or tips to get rid of them, its not part of the skull as they move freely. I can also depress them physically, but they come back. I don't have any pics as the system is only off for 30mins when it gets changed
