i just used my headblade for the second time
« on: January 04, 2009, 07:29:59 PM »
and i must admit i love it. it takes half the time to shave than with other razors and it gets stubborn spots easier that i always miss with other razors.

pros+

-as smooth of a shave as my mach 3.

-only takes half the time.

-dont have to take as many strokes.

-wider strokes

cons-

-cuts and nicks are deeper.

-misses spots.

-blades are harder to unclog.

-a little awkward to work with since so small.

-flimsy. (i almost broke the ring already)

-hard to get around the ears and side of head

so there are more negatives than possitives but im still getting used to it. so far i AM happy with the results of the headblade though. especially the fact that the shaving time gets cuts in half. the 2 things i was worried about before i tried the headblade were "is this thing going to give me as close and smooth as a shave as my mach 3?" and it does. the other thing was "is this thing going to cut me easy?" and it really isnt as easy to knick yourself as ive been told. i got the hang of it right away. i cut myself one time and it was pretty deep compared to the knicks i get from my mach but its avoidable.

im sure if i had headslick my shave would be even better. (im using regular shaving gel)

good to hear from you.  Keep us updated.  I have always been scared of headblade but seeing people with such
comments only makes me more curious.  But tell me was it easy to do against the grain on the back of your head?

They sell headblade sport the one with wheels at shoppers drug mart across the street.  As a child I loved
playing with cars so when I see that headblade I'm like I want to play again, and this time why not put the car on my head? :*)) :*))
My family was actually good.  My sisters said the bald head suits me, and parents didn't comment.  My father only
gives negative comments when he has a bad day.  He didn't have any bad days for the 16 days that I was over.

Dude, you gotta give it a try with a Sensor excel blade. I used to use the Atra style double blades, too, until I tried the Sensor. It's the ultimate. Very close and VERY comfortable. Gotta have the adapter though, but my HB came with one.

I'll second this, Get the Sensor doubles though I find the triples clog too easily.

Yup yup. I haven't tried the Sensor 3 (that I remember). I always use the Excels. I found long ago that I get a better shave with a double blade over a triple.
