My fear is that goats will become dated - I'd hate to have to give mine up now that I'm sly. What would I do with my comb?   *!d

If you like it, you don't have to give it up, "dated" or not.   ;)
HAHA that was said about the mullet, and scullet though. I would have to say the goat won't turn to an evil side like the mullet did. I think you're good to go with a classic goat.
with my friends i usually try out the facial fur thing. during december and january its just winter beards, february is facial hair february( anything goes) then march is moustache march, april is usually very quickly "all gone april" by that time we're sick of it lol
Cheers.
J.

Mullets -- and scullets in particular -- were never cool.

As far as moustaches, beards, goatees etc. coming and going out of fashion, I think a lot of that just depends on your age.   The next generation of twenty-somethings may decide that something is "out" but the look will survive with those of us who are a little older.  In fact, we run the risk of looking ridiculous if we try too hard to imitate what the younger guys are doing.

Yeah - the "3-day-growth" look is great for GQ.  On me, I just look homeless!

The 3-day-growth look only works if you have got dark hair.  On redheads or blonds, it looks dirty and scruffy.

When the grey starts to become apparent, a "3-Day" puts a guy in a mutton dressed as lamb catagory.  A moustache or goat becomes an issue too, until the grey predominates and it's a decent shade of grey, not slush grey.  So, for a lot of us, after the mid-40's it can be iffy to try the "GQ" three day look.  It also looks better on guys who have dark hair, rather than the pale skin that predominates guys w/ light colored or red hair.

I would have to say that almost any facial hair style, as long as it is cared for looks great on men. we were born to sport them. if i didn't have facial hair to play and experiement with I'd be bored with this life a while ago.
Next time i grow my stache' out I'll post a pic i usually look hilarious but have yet to be sly with one. so we shall have to see.
cheers,
J.

Or are on "Miami Vice"!

BUT remember...that is only YOUR opinion...my wife would significantly disagree!!

I had a female co-worker once ask me why men grew facial hair.  Cutting to the chase, I asked in return, "Why do women wear makeup or go to the hair salon every week?"

Many men wear facial hair simply because they hate to shave.  I personally think that it's perfectly natural for a man to want a 'stache, beard, or both.  It has nothing to do w/ hiding ones face and everything to do w/ feeling good about your looks.

Vamp, I know plenty of women that love the 'tickle'...  :D

In all fairness I known women on both sides of this issue. My wife just likes not only me but guys in general with at least a mustache.

But one thing is for sure if you try to live your life or dress according to someone else's opinion you can drive yourself crazy. Stand in a room with 30 different people and you will get 30 different opinions. The one that really matters is the one you have of yourself. So if a woman likes me with a goatee...fine. If not....I'm not going to loose any sleep over it.

And yes..my wife LOVESSSS that "tickle" O0

It just looks like you are hiding your face.

Hello, yes do what you like, but if you were single you might get more dates if clean shaved.
