Mullets -- and scullets in particular -- were never cool. As far as moustaches, beards, goatees etc. coming and going out of fashion, I think a lot of that just depends on your age. The next generation of twenty-somethings may decide that something is "out" but the look will survive with those of us who are a little older. In fact, we run the risk of looking ridiculous if we try too hard to imitate what the younger guys are doing.
