Smooth dome
« on: December 14, 2008, 10:16:16 AM »
Hi Guys
Just wondering apart from getting laser treatment done on the dome, are there any other methods for having that shiny stubble free look. I shave with a Gillette Fusion 5 blade and sometimes a Gillette Mach 3 blade. However, I can't seem to get the stubble less look.

Cheers!

This guy is not new.  His name is Tom and he is a trucker.  I remember him from another shaved headed site that I am no longer a part of.   Some people may say that we are obsessed.  For most of us, I think that most of us fall under the category of being fairly normal.  For myself, I like the sly look as it is better than my receding hair.  But I don't get my "jollies" over it.  I feel sorry for the people that make it into something sexual.

but hey guyz, I don't know how safe tweezing is.  It pull hairs out by the root............I don't know if that
is too safe.  There has been no clinical data but I don't have a good feeling about this.  Shaving cuts the hairs
out on the outside part of your skin, whereas tweezing pulls out by the root.  I wonder what goes in that area
when hair is forced out.  Does blood rush in there?  Does it stimulate hair growth?  Does it cause ingrown hairs?
All of these have to be taken into account.   Just because something is availalbe to everyone it doesn't make it safe right.

It doesn't stimulate hair growth (otherwise that would be a surefire way of reversing hair loss), but I would imagine that there is a risk of infection.

but b4 we go there, does anyone have any tips on how to get a closer shave?

I see that it's time to once again post this link that shows what can happen if you put Nair on your head.  Scroll down the page a bit.

fine, RazorX I will heed your advice for now, I once Naired my arms and chest, a similar skin reaction occurred ... but I am very curious about this method...
but back to my question... does anyone have any tips for a closer shave.
