Is all this hair real?

Seems like quite a lot for a 52-year old man and it's so top-heavy and helmet-like I'm wondering if it isn't a wig.

I have heard the question raised before about him wearing a rug, but never heard a definitive answer.....so is it a rug?  Does anyone know???
