Formal Introduction
« on: December 10, 2008, 03:40:32 AM »
Well Ive been a member for a while now, but haven't really introduced myself, my name is Seb, I am from Beautiful Brisbane, Australia. I've currently been living in Canada while in College, studying on a Basketball Scholarship, which is great...I joined recently after sliding between acceptance and refusal to give into MPB, but I figure in the grand scheme of things, it means little, and for anyone who thinks otherwise is probably pretty superficial. It was actually last year at the end of first semester that I first shaved my head, I was at a dorm party, and I knew I was thinning a bit so after a few drinks i decided to get out the clippers and shave it off...Naturally my teammates leapt at the chance to shave me, but some of the girls at the party weren't convinced and tried to convince me not to shave it...Eventually I let one of the girls shave me and Lo and Behold, every girl in the party commented on how much better it looked and I got dozens of kisses on the dome before the night was finished...So I guess girls aren't really grossed out by the shaved dome as I first believed...My only issue is the permanency of balding, and seeing a different face in the mirror takes a bit to get used to...but I guess everyone changes when they get older in one way or another, and life goes on! Good to see lots of positive support on the site...One question I wanted to ask the regular members of the forum; Do most of you come here for positive re-enforcement for yourselves in relation to balding, or is it merely a hangout place and to help others what you have been/going through??

Welcome to the forum !! Great to have you aboard !!   O0

Myself, I came to the board just to be around like minded people and maybe helping anyone who had issues with head shaving. I never really had a problem or any issues with shaving my head although it took awhile to get up the nerve to do it .......and I had already been shaved for a couple years before finding this site.

Again welcome !!

Great story and welcome too  O0
Nice ink BTW.

Probably the latter for me, I joined this forum a few months back but I've been  shaving my head for quite a few years already.

Welcome to the Home of Shine!

Why we stay, at least some of us, besides some really funny stuff--that's what Timmy is for, I don't think they pay him!--I get help on electronic tech sh_t that seems to seek me out, get some good jokes, and I've had the opportunity to meet some great guys, and gals.  It's my first and only forum I read and respond to.

Hey Seb, I've read a few of your posts, and I appreciate what you've had to say already.
I found SBG, looking for a community of people who were bald or balding, as I couldnt find many guys my age (23) in the same situation.  As a lurker, I found the support i needed to go sly, then became an official member.

Welcome Seb!!!
