Christmas Eve, wife & daughters head to the RC church, while I finish the last touches on the long cooking sauce for the Christmas goose, then--this is new w/ my newly minted son-in-law--we meet his parents at a hotel close by for a Christmas cocktail, then we go on to Christmas Eve parties that friends have had for years, and their parents before them, then to the Episcopal Cathedral for Midnight Mass, then home to slide a bottle of port (i.e. drink it all up) w/ some cheeses and light snacks, then bed and wait for Santa. Christmas morning, it's presents, then getting the traditional dinner ready, very Dickens, roast goose, etc. and flaming plum pudding to end the feast. Then later in the day another round of visiting this time with relatives.
