Christmas is sorted m8. We are having a 6 day cruise form Southampton to New York, 3 nights in New York and then up to my family In Mass. Cant wait. So thats our Christmas present this year. A lot of money but we are renting our house out for the Open Golf Championship at Turnberry (7 miles from me). So that will pay for our trip  !B@

Outstanding!

I spent a week in the Troon area, beautiful place. Some of the favorite courses courses I played there were Prestwick, Western Gailes (Irvine) & Kilmarnock in Troon.

My brother in law did a tour of duty with the Royal Navy and lived a short way from the Anchorage Hotel. We stayed at the Anchorage and the bartender treated us quite well.

Cool. Did you know Prestwick Airport is the only place in the UK Elvis ever visited. This was on a stopover in a US forces plane

I was not aware of that.

You need to come back. I could show you some nice places doing Scottish food.

There was a "chippy" right on the shoreline road from the Anchorage in Troon that my brother in law lived near that he loved. I went there once and it was pretty good.

If we go back, I'll definitely look you up Stephen.
