Welcome to the forum !!    O0

You have a 8 year old who wants to have his head shaved?

Personally, I think he is a little young to be shaving his head. If you wanted to let him have his head buzzed that would be an entirely different story. That's just my opinion and again , welcome to SBG  !

Welcome to the SBG Family slysimon,

We're glad you could join us, jump right in and make yourself at home. As for your son, mine was 16 before he started shaving his head like dad, you could always buzz it for him to see what kind of reactions hell get from his friends, and then maybe he'll decid it wasn't a good idea at his age.

Just my 2 cents.

Welcome to the Land of Sly and Free.  Maybe you could buzz your son down at the beginning of next summer, that way he gets to try, and no school hassles since he'll be w/ family and friends.  We had a family when I was young that would shave their boys heads at the beginning of summer.  My parents weren't into that, so I never got that preview.

One of the problems with shaving an 8-year-old is that they don't always understand the consequences -- namely, if he doesn't like the result when it's done,  he's going to have to live with it for a while until his hair grows back.  In reality, hair grows back pretty quickly, but what seems quick to us can be an eternity to a kid that age.

What does his mother say?  Usually they have the final word on this sort of thing.   :)

Sorry for the late welcome, but have a good time buddy!!

I agree with the previous posts, give your kid a buzz rather than a razor shave!!
