Not a rule of the office, but my professional views.  There is always a naysayer around.  I agree, that's like telling me I have to cover up in my own home.  God bless these brave men and women.  Leave them alone!!  I am so tired of these idiots who have nothing to do for their huge salaries, sitting around making up these stupid rules about appearance and company policies.  Let these people do their jobs.

I agree, Don. Well said.

You join a paramilitary group you follow the rules. Don't like the rules don't join the group. Simple.

The issue is that those rules weren't in effect when they joined.  As far as those who join after the rules went into effect, I agree with you.

My Father was a DETROIT firefighter for 27 years and i dont ever remember him talk about pulling up to a fire and having the home owner tell him "if you have tatoosyou cant fight my fire " they were DAMN glad to see ANYONE there to put out their fire! I could understand ink on necks or faces and heads being undesireable but arms and legs ? when was the last time anyone saw a firefighter at a fire with shorts and a talk top on ?
