Firefighters forced to cover up

Well, gentlemen remember different areas of our country have different races of folks..
Los Angeles has a huge black and Latino population...
there are a lot of those guys in the fire department...
of those guys, some probably grew up in tough neighborhoods and got some tat work and were involved in gang activities and such...
now most guys can't remove those mistakes, so their past shows...when they go into a "bad" neighborhood, their own safety could be in question if some punk kid or someone decides to make trouble because of their "markings"..
I've been there bros...I'm 100% cool 24/7 with my scrapped bald head...but when a carload of shaved head vatos rolls up in the car next to you..talk about VERY uncomfortable..or when you get flashed a gang sign because of your bald head when you turn down a different alley...
different place...
it's sucks, but I understand the crazy rule..
I actually think it's for their's and in turn the public's safety.

I'm with you on this one, Lance. If my house is on fire, I don't care if they're tattooed from head to tie as long as it doesn't affect their job skills.
