Christmas Time

What's up Sly Bros?  Just curious how many you out there, that do celebrate Christmas, really love it?  I for one LOVE it with a capital L.  It's just my favorite time of year.  I love what it represents, love how most people treat each other better around that time, and my birthday is on Christmas Eve.  Just a few reasons why I like that time of year.  I also love the cold weather.  It's just me.  I'm a cold weather kind of person.  So what is my other Sly Bros feelings on the subject?  Do you all feel the same as me or not so enthusiastic during that time of the year?

One thing that made me think of this topic is I caught a local radio show the other day.  One that I usually really like.  The two guys on it are hilarious.  But one of them made a rude comment, using bad language too, about other radio stations playing Christmas music too early.  I for one like when Christmas music starts being played.  It gets me in the mood for the upcoming season.  Another question...Do you all think around the first of November is way too early to start playing Christmas music?  Not me in my opinion.  I love it.  So what do you all think?

When I was a kid in the 50's you never heard Christmas music until the first week in December...and that's when the stores started decorating etc.....this year WalMart started playing Christmas music the day after Halloween....I like Christmas.....for the spiritual meaning more than the commercial side.....

I love Christmas for what it represents. I hate the commercialism. I love to give gifts but if I never received a single gift that would be a perfect Christmas for me.

We stress to our kids that Christmas is about Christ first and Santa a little further down.

I'm with Tim on this...... finish one before starting another.

We always love Christmas and like Mike said we stress what Christmas is truly all about. This one will be a bit tough though. My wife lost her mom suddenly last December 16th. The first Christmas after her death we were all still in a alot of shock. I actually think this year will be a little harder on her and my daughter in that regard. Other than that we enjoy it but still look forward to normallacy returning.
Our country demands all our strength, all our energies. To resist the powerful combination now forming against us will require every man at his place. If victorious we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.

Very sorry to hear about your families loss.  Hope you can find some joy this season to pull you all through.   O0

Man.  So I guess my wife and I are all alone here on liking the Christmas Season A LOT more than others.  Just to be clear here though, it doesn't have nothing to do with commercialism with me either.  I wouldn't care if I never received another gift in my life for Christmas or any holiday or event.  I get more out of giving anyway.  To me that's what Christmas is mainly about.  That and the birth of Christ of course.  It's just a very happy season to me and if it comes on a little sooner than it use to then all the better for me and people like me.  I can totally understand where the rest of you are coming from though.  I know it can seem like an overkill at times when a store will start putting out decorations and items before another season is even over with.  But c'mon you guys...Don't be grinches.  LOL  ;D  Just joking.   O0
