Okay, I'm getting the pot down and with "wintery" weather due here in the Crescent City--temps may not break 60 this weekend and get into the 40's at night BRRRRRRRRRR!!---get some good tea and let it steep under the cozy for 4 minutes, then pleasure, may have a fire in the fireplace.  I take milk, no sugar.  Now I'm thinking, got to get some of the blueberry preserves down and some nice baps to make it a real pleasure point.  Thanks Mike, I'm going to like this touch of winter weather.

Well that may be, but the first blond joke was when the first Scandanvian came to the States and went to Minnesota rather than to the sunny south!

I love black tea, I am drinking some right now.

Now its time for a dumb question. Since Americans are big coffee drinkers there are coffee stands everywhere it seems. So since people in the UK are big tea drinkers are there tea shops everywhere? Is there a starbucks version for tea? I know its a dumb question but someones gotta ask.

Yeah, there are quite a few teashops here in England (some are spelled tea-shoppe' to look old fashioned, lol.) But they all serve coffee too, just to be on the safe side! :).  there are shops that sell tea too, (tea leaves in caddies etc) of various sorts, and not a tea bag in sight!! ;)  Also shops that just sell tea pots in various shapes and sizes (houses, characters, cars, etc).  Loads of people still stop at 4.00pm for a good strong cuppa and maybe a cream cake! O0

Yeah, it's called Starbucks.   ;D   They're on practically every street corner in the UK, just like they are here.  The English seem to be drinking more coffee than tea these days, at least outside of the home.

They seem to be doing pretty well (until recently) for a company nobody likes, don't they?  The problem goes way beyond Starbucks, but doesn't it just seem like everywhere you go anymore, everything looks exactly the same?  You see the same shops in every mall, street, etc., no matter what country you're in.  It's getting harder and harder to find things that are unique to certain places.  :(

Yeah: over here it really seemed to start with Mc Donald's and KFC, but now everywhere seems to have the same shops and cafes etc.  Nearly every town here has a Woolworth's, Boots, Starbucks, etc etc.  It used to be that you could visit a place and get a whole lot of unique local shops but that's not really the case any longer and it's a real shame :'(

I've gotten into drinking green tea lately, hot and cold. I want to try switch it for my morning cup o' joe. I was "off" of coffee for a while but just started back on it again. Hopefully my body isn't too used to the coffee yet and I can make the switch easily.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.
