Okay, I'm getting the pot down and with "wintery" weather due here in the Crescent City--temps may not break 60 this weekend and get into the 40's at night BRRRRRRRRRR!!---get some good tea and let it steep under the cozy for 4 minutes, then pleasure, may have a fire in the fireplace. I take milk, no sugar. Now I'm thinking, got to get some of the blueberry preserves down and some nice baps to make it a real pleasure point. Thanks Mike, I'm going to like this touch of winter weather.
I love black tea, I am drinking some right now. Now its time for a dumb question. Since Americans are big coffee drinkers there are coffee stands everywhere it seems. So since people in the UK are big tea drinkers are there tea shops everywhere? Is there a starbucks version for tea? I know its a dumb question but someones gotta ask.

They seem to be doing pretty well (until recently) for a company nobody likes, don't they? The problem goes way beyond Starbucks, but doesn't it just seem like everywhere you go anymore, everything looks exactly the same? You see the same shops in every mall, street, etc., no matter what country you're in. It's getting harder and harder to find things that are unique to certain places.

Yeah: over here it really seemed to start with Mc Donald's and KFC, but now everywhere seems to have the same shops and cafes etc. Nearly every town here has a Woolworth's, Boots, Starbucks, etc etc. It used to be that you could visit a place and get a whole lot of unique local shops but that's not really the case any longer and it's a real shame
