Baldandre, Razor, and anyone else that feels I may have taken the "Bald Celeb/Ed Harris" thread to a unnecessary level...I really have no personal problem with you at all. I guess I just get to passionate about some of the topics on here once in a while. I guess that's why a forum just is not meant for me. I didn't mean anything hurtful I may have said on here. It's just that we are supposed to be this positive community and we all seem to be nice guys. Accepting of others no matter what. We all talk about name calling toward us sometimes because we shave our heads. We talk about how people are so simple minded because they stereotype us because of us shaving our heads. We say how ignorant those kind of people are. We all shave our heads for different reasons. Whether it's because of thinning or balding hair, just to have a different hair style, or whatever the reason. Any reason we do is fine and that's our choice. Nobody has any right to judge us before they know us just because we chose to shave our heads. So why should we judge people that really do not care if their hair is thinning and want to keep it. To be honest, I kind of envy those kind of people. The reason being is because I think they actually might be more self secure than some of us. I know that some guys on here, and in general, only shave their heads just to try something different. Those people or not balding or thinning. But the ones of us who are thinning and balding...Why is it exactly that we shave it? Is it because we are so self-conscious that we worry so much about what people will think of us if we just leave our hair alone? Hmmm? So to me, I believe those actors and just regular "joes" that leave their thinning hair alone are probably more happier with themselves. I'm actually glad that the "Bald Celeb/Ed Harris" thread was made and that it got "out of hand." It has given me a new perspective on this whole thing. Much love and peace to all the people at SBG. Wish you all the best.
Lance, I think you're taking this a bit personal.
As other's have said, SBG is dedicated to helping men dealing with MPB in ways other than rugs, plugs, or drugs. If men feel keeping their hair cut short is the best way to deal with MPB, more power to them (I recently saw someone called it a "power donut"

). Anyway, if it wasn't for my scalp condition (sebhorreic dermatitis), I'd probably keep my hair at a #1 buzz clip (got a lot of compliments on it when I wore that look during the 2006 Christmas season, plus The Lovely Mrs. Schro hates my sly look). But, since I get complete relief from SD by shaving, I'm staying sly.

You're being critical of those that are being critical. It's a personal opinion, nothing more.
Now, please lose the "?" and join the party!

hey lance: 1st of all... i hope U don't "leave" the forum. i like your posts, inputs, & comments but remember this... each comment or judgement U make (this goes 4 everyone) may B "challenged". if your opinions (or mine) have been challenged DON'T EVER B "insulted" or take it personally. i don't think our sly brother (razorx) was being critical or "bashing" U. he only challenged/responded 2 your comment in the "ed harris" thread. anyways... hope U stay. PM if U have any questions.

Lance, please re-consider. I re-read the post about Ed Harris and didn't see anything that should have caused an issue. It really is hard to communicate through the keyboard.
For what it is worth, I don't remember Ed Harris ever being totally SLY.

The "Firm" with Tom Cruise.... and a few other times...
most times he's buzzed bald which is a good look for him....
it's not SLY but neatly MPB kept.
