Friend shaved for Halloween
« on: October 29, 2008, 09:39:52 AM »
Ok to start I have a couple friends that have bad MPB and I always tell them to just shave it all off. Well my buddy Steve seems to be the most stubborn of all and always said that he would never shave for anything. Our town has a thing called 'pumpkin lane' that is the weekend before halloween where kids go trick-or-treating at the local businesses. I was there with the kids and then I thought I saw Steve so I had to look twice. He shaved his head. I smiled when I saw it and then went over to talk to him. First thing I said was "So you have come over to the smooth side" and he just chuckled. I asked him why he finally decided to shave and he said he shaved for halloween. He claims that he shaved for his 'ultimate' costume and that he will grow it back afterwards. He wont tell me what his costume is, its a suprise. Then we went over to his place last night and I caught him rubbin his dome. You know he has to like it when he rubs it. At dinner we were al talking about it and he said he loves how smooth it is and that he likes how he looks. When I asked him if he is going to keep it that way he said it depends on how people will react at the party.
Just thought I'd share this, it makes me laugh because he was so against it. Now if I can just talk Jim into shaving his horse shoe...

Hey Mike, good story !!  I bet he ends up keeping it shaved. I know once you shave it's darn hard to grow it back again...... O0

Get him to hang in there for the 30 days Mike and as you know, he will be hooked on being sly.

There was a time that I thought Halloween would be a good excuse...  ...until I found out I didn't NEED an excuse...

And what was his halloween costume?

This reminds me of a joke I heard about a bald guy shaving his head, tipping treacle over his dome and going to a party as a toffee apple! ;D

Clearly this guy felt he needed a reason to shave his head and Halloween provided the perfect excuse.  Hopefully he got some positive feedback and will feel encouraged to keep his noggin shaved.

I have good news, he is keeping it for now. His costume was one of those Asian monks/buddist that shave their heads. His costume consisted of a red sheet wrapped around (looked like a toga) and a shaved head with diluted brown face paint. He came into the store this morning and I noticed that it was still smooth. I smiled and he said " I know what you're gonna say and yes I am keeping it for now". It wil be cool if he keeps it.
