Skinheads!!!!!!

I was listening to the radio this morning and on my local news broadcast, the said that there was a foiled plot by two "Skinheads" to kill (I think it was 88) african americans people, then they were going to kill Obama.

Has anyone else heard of this? What are your thoughts? It did not specify which state they are from, but the plan was supposed to be that they (the 2 skinheads) would rob a gun store, then go to a prodominatly african american school and kill 88, people then dress in white Tuxedo's complete with top hats and try to kill Obama.

If you are from this state, do people ther look at you differently now??

One is from Arkansas.  I think they caught them in Texas?  They got them somewhere.

They are young (one is 18).  The authorities said they really don't think they had the means to carry out anything.

Sounds like some crazy guys giving a bunch of talk.

It is hard to understand how someone could be so brain washed by 18.  Hatred for others has always been mankind's darkest trait.  I'm glad they stopped this one before it got started.

These guys were just some idiots with a sick fantasy.  Kill 88 people at a school? Behead 14?  It's a good thing they will be off the streets for awhile.  But as far as assassinating the President or a candidate they wouldn't have been able to come close to pulling it off.  They're plan was to "wear white tuxedos and drive their car at a high rate of speed while firing rifles at Obama's motorcade"    I think the Secret Service would have handled those fools before they got close.  That's not even tactically sound. 


One guy from from West Helena, AR, the other from somewhere near that area in TN.  I'm from Arkansas and I know that area.  It's right at the junction of Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas on the MS River.  There are racist and criminal idiots from every state and every country, I don't think it reflects badly on the state.

Trust me Max..when you are raised in and around it by 18 you are indoctrinated. I was around alot of KKK types in rural eastern North Carolina and it takes alot of un-learning to get those ways of thinking purged. I never heard anyone talk about killing other races but it was definately taught that anyone of color was inferior. Now I tend to look at KKK, Skinheads, Black Panthers, NAACP and any group that promotes one race over another in the same light....... and yes..I did include NAACP in that list deliberately!

I was born in North Carolina in the same county as Hammerdrill.
My Mom and her family were raised there.... and when I was a kid I remember my Uncles usimg the "N" word like I use the word "and". I couldn't believe.

We don't EVER talk about it in my family but apparently my great grandfather (that I never met) was an extreme racist and was pretty high up in the KKK.

That's so hard to believe because my parents ALWAYS taught us that every man/woman/child should be judged individually for the kind of person they were. There was never a prejudiced word in my house growing up. Since I grew up in Baltimore city, many of my friends were black and we never even thought about that crap. Every GOOD kid was welcome in our home.

I just don't get it.............

Need to clarify one thing. My mom was about as non-prejudicial as you can get. Thank GOD for her. My dad and alot of his friends on the other hand not only used the N word frequently but also disortated on why they believed blacks were inferior. A kids mind is like a blank blackboard and at the time I only knew what I was being taught. My dad was not a "bad guy" he was just misguided in some of his thinking and later toward the end of his life he began to see things differently. For me getting away from that environment really helped me see people of color as well as sexual preferences in a different light. But I wil tell you it takes work to change old thought patterns.

I grew up in a household/area that definitely looked down on others that didn't look and act like "us". It was a process for sure to undo a lot of what I was raised to think. Moving to a different part of the country helped. Also, getting to know people of different stripes made the most difference. Once you get to know someone who looks/acts differently from what you know and see that they are just another person too, with the same types of hopes and fears, sure helped me have a new and better perspective.

I read about that on the web. I'm glad to see that  all of us who shave our heads by choice are part of a change that takes away from those hatemongers something that used to help make them unique, I believe it was back in the 80's the overwhelming majority of non-black men who shaved thier heads were neo-nazi nuts. Today, thats far from the truth. Now I'm sure that most of you reading this shave your heads for the same reason I do, because we look so good bald. Hair...hair...we don't need no stinkin' hair!

Simple reason why I shaved mine..it was turning loose before it was going to turn grey!!
