thinking of taking another step towards slyness
« on: October 27, 2008, 01:56:19 PM »
hey all,
i was just wondering if i can get some opinions from you all....I've been shaving my head with clippers with no guard for a while now. i've been really pondering whether or not i should get the panasonic wet/dry linear saver ( model ES8077S)....If and of you know about or have this shaver, i would greatly appreciate your opinions on this shaver. I know that shaving with this shaver gets you really close to becoming sly, but not completely there. I'm not sure i want to go all the way down with the razor yet. anyways, please help me out! i'm on the fence and dont know which way to sway!
thanks sly bros!

I know nothing about shaving with an electric, as I've been using a razor (started with a Mach 3) since day one. But, I'd fully encourage you to take that next step... You'll love it! O0

Like Ironhorse I never used an electric and am now a proud HeadBlade user. Just go for it..once you are SLY you will love the decision you have made O0

Before you invest in an electric razor, you might just give the slick sly results of a standard gillette Mach 3 a shot. Worst case scenario, it'll be back to the legth the electric razor would cut it in 2 days max. For about buck investment in a Mach 3 blade and a shot of shaving gel, you can get an idea on what you're missing out on! Good luck! O0

I agree with Iron and hammer here babb. I don't use an electric either, never have, never will.
I prefer the smoothness of a blade shave.

Best to get yourself a Mach III, some good gel or cream and get to it.

You'll know right away if you like it or not, and if you will choose to keep it.

Good luck           O0

hey babb:  i've heard some good news on that electric razor (panasonic) but it doesn't get it smoooooother than a trusty quality manual razor like the fusion, mach3, or headblade.  like rob6 mentioned... save some serious $$$ & get a quality razor & shave that dome 1st b4 "throwing" away $$$ with an electric razor.

You just gotta use a blade rather than an electric.  It gets the dome so much smoother.  I use Extreme3, with 'bendy blades' along with fusion or machIII.

I agree.  If you're buzzing with no guard, you're practically there already, but if you aren't razor-shaved smooth, you're missing out on the best part of being sly.  It probably won't look that much different and many people may not even notice the difference, but it feels way different.  And psychologically, it's a big confidence booster to know you had the guts to get rid of your hair completely.  Stop hiding behind that little bit of stubble.  It will grow back in two days if you don't like it.  It's a risk-free proposition
