WHAT was your 1st horror movie?

hello fellow chrome domes:  what was your 1st horror movie?  were U "scared"?  i'll start:  my 1st horror movie as a little boy was the 1st ..."HALLOWEEN".  that scared the crap  out of me. (*!@  i wasn't able 2 sleep that night without having visions of michael myers busting down my bedroom door. (*!@

so... how 'bout U?  what was your 1st horror movie?  were U "scared"?  what's your story?

I was a kid living in Chicago when one of the Mummy movies came out at the theater.  We had to walk home from the movies that night and it was spooky.   First horror movie on tv was either the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers or Invaders from Mars.   Both were creepy for a kid to see.

not sure if it is a horror movie or not. but when JAWS came on tv when i was a kid. it scared the hell out of me.

I think mine was Halloween too, Hawk.

But I totally agree with Paul, when Jaws came out it scared the heck out of me, and I wouldn't even go near the water, lol.

JAWS, I remember going to the movies to watch it.  On the big screen when those teeth would come at you, I remember ducking behind the seat in front of me.

Old school Dracula movie with the late Bela Lugosi (spelling?) Really cheesy now but when I was a kid scared the S..T out of me :'(

"Them" giant ants morphed by the atomic bomb tests.  One guy gets pinched in raised up in the air, obviously dying.  I didn't sleep that night, or for a long time after.  It was replayed a year or so ago on TCM in a horror movie series, along w/ the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers, a real job on okra pods that also got to me in a really bad way.

I think with a young Joan Collins..

scared the Sh!t outta me...I was 4 and saw it at family night at the drive in movie...that was 1971 (wonder years times)...

very cool memory though...once i got over the scare! ;)
