Im New, had good n bad reactions

Hey cant rememer how i found this site but its cool. ive always had a receeding hair line n by the time i was 18 it was very thin n look horrible, so i cut it to a grade two for a few weeks just to get used to it, and then shaved it clean which i really liked. i got the general banter at work as u do, parents didnt really care, my confidence was growin, however i was very aware i need a tan on top lol (livin in southwest of england it isnt easy to get tan). anyway i was in work oneday and a customer wouldnt let me serve them cos i was bald, they said they really didnt trust me. i can be quite short fused and i had ago at them,the manager took me into the office, and told me i had to grow it bk to atleast a grade 1. i was furious. but i need the job. hopefully ive atached the pic correctly, this is a pic of me bald.

Amazinmg that a guy with long hair could have probably have served those people with no problem but just because you were shaved they didn't trust you. Ridiculous!!!

I'd change jobs...............

lol unfortunately i work with computers not food, nice idea though.
its annoying because im actually a very trustworthy guy tis just stupid that some people judge on looks.
i had a guy come in once who was bald n had tats, apparently knowone would serve him in the stores next to ours, felt sorry for the guy. makes me angry.

i have been lookin for another job anyway because the pay is rubbish in my current job, however there arnt  alot of jobs goin atm. apparently managers arnt actually allow to tell u how to wear ur hair etc aslong as it doesnt coincide with health and safety which a bald head really isnt goin to lol. so im shaving it again :D

Welcome to the group Pete.   It IS disgusting that some people judge others by their appearance.  Best thing to do is smile, be polite, and show them how very wrong they are.

lame customer...do what you have to for now..

go find a new job though because a bald head is totally mainstream...

for cryin' out loud...it's  an "average joe or plummer" these days... :/O...

Find a job that lets you be you...till then have a buzzcut (short) ..

then shave it bald once you get the cool job! O0
