If anybody's confused about the digital transition, here's the most simple tip: if u have an old TV, buy a new one.  :)

No i am not ready for the transition, I will just let my tv go blank, then buy a new one at some undetermined date(probably sometime between February and April)

You can get a box for $40 and then get a rebate for the $40, so it's free.

The only TV not ready in our house is the kids. Not a big deal as far as I'm concerned. The living room and our bedroom TV's are ready to rock. I like the extra few channels and the picture is so damn clear, I can't believe it! Not bad for the welfare channels kids.
