Hello All
Just wanted to introduce myself as Cheese from Alabama. I have been reading your entries to the website for about two weeks before joining yesterday. I am currenly using clippers on a "1" on top and a "1/2" on the sides. I have wanted to go sly for a couple of months now; however, my girlfriend thinks it will not look good. So, I have slowly dropped the clippers down from a "3" to a "1" in hopes that she would change her mind. It didn't work. I have seen a couple of guys with this same problem and was wondering if I should just do it and say "surprise"! Also, I will be uploading a pic soon. Thanks to this website and hope to be part of the sly family soon! -

I don't know your girl , circumstances or situation, so for me anyways, I wouldn't want to tell you to just do it and say surprise!! BUT, your girl may very well be OK with you doing that. Only you know or have a good guess what her reaction will be and how it will effect your relationship. So as long as you don't think she will dump you over it, go ahead and do it, you can always grow it back.....Good luck bro....

It's not unusual that women/girlfriends don't like the sly look. But when times goes by they change their mind or think: "if he is happy..." or they like just how you are. And it's just hair. It will regrow.
Do what makes you happy and what you want.

Just go for it...
never ask anyone if they think a slick bald head will work for your look (except of course us)..
once she sees it, she'll learn to dig it...and most times a complete smooth head looks way better than a buzz!

She is "just" a GF, do what you want. If she don't like it you can always replace her and don't have to go through the courts to do it!

I say just go ahead and do it. If she doesn't like it, you can choose to grow it back. If you like it, then you keep it.
Like Andre said, don't let anyone else tell you how your look should be. You're the one who has to live and be comfortable with it.
I'm with champ on this; you can always replace this one with someone who really digs it.
So do what's right for you.
