Rather New Bald Guy

I started to lose my hair when I was 17 and by the time I completed college, it was getting thin. In my early thirties, my ex convinced me to get a hair system. For the next 15 years, It was important to me.
I was finally convinced a few months ago to let it go. I have to say the first time, I went out felt like I was naked and everyone was staring. Now, I like the no messing with my hair or wondering if it is going to become loose. I don't even have second thoughts about others staring and even noticed some women being very friendly.
I am bald to stay and have no problem with it. it just took me a long time to accept it.

Welcome jrob! I can relate to what you say about feeling naked when you first go out in public. Although I never wore a "system", I have a somewhat public job in a smaller community so most people I meet on the street know who I am. It only took a matter of days before I was perfectly comfortable with my new look, which made me realize the concern of people's reaction was all psychological on my part.
To any guys reading this who would like to go sly but are afraid of public reaction - don't worry about it! Sure, the first day or so you'll feel a little self-conscious. But once that passes, the pendulum swings the other way and you'll find yourself wanting to show off your new look every chance you get. I used to avoid looking at my reflection in public places and now I go out of my way to walk past a mirror so I can say to myself "Damn, that looks so much better!"

Thanks for all the welcomes. The only regret is that I did not do this sooner.
