The thread about first impressions got me thinking about this....

For me the first thing that comes to mind is a funny one...

When SCHRO posted that his wife said he looked like a "thumb" in his turtleneck. :*))

Still makes me laugh thinking about it..........

The other one that immediately comes to mind is both moving and profound.
Posted by Hammerdrill just about a week ago when he posted about losing his Mom and how much he missed her.

I'd have to say that it's not just one thing, but every post that a guy tells us that we've helped him improve his confidence by going Sly.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

I forgot who said it, but when someone called the rolls on the back of a guy's neck "neckfurters".  ;D

Agonizing over what cannot be is an insult to what is.

The most profound thing that I have read, was the title of ripped53's intro post.  Finally with friends...

That hit me hard, and if he is lucky enough to stick around, he will realize that the guys on this forum, although many of us have never met, are friends.  It is a strange feeling that the members of this forum have a common connection, and get along so well.  There are the standout guys that grab you attention like TimmJ, Warhawk, and Tyler (just to name a few).  But to me it made me realize that maybe the reason that I joined the forum is to find a place of acceptance. while friends criticize (there is only one, but he gave me my first head rub), some family members make fun of the baldness (sister saying that I look like Mikey, she later said i look like Mr. Clean, I take it as a compliment).  As long as we be ourselves, we can embrace the SLY life and scrape the hair off our head, and always have a group of GREAT guys to turn to when we need to vent, or ask about exfoliating.

The most moving post and thread that I read in here was TampaDrew's story.  It was the first time I had heard the story behind "systems", and it quickly became the most popular intro post, yet (since i've been here).
While he had all of our support, and supposedly took the leap, we never heard back from him.  So it also makes it the most mysterious for me too.

Funniest has to be dog's grill thread...  All the reactions were priceless.  Especially Schro's comments that popped up in most of dog's posts after that. LOL

Vash's SLY Affirmation was the first thing I thought of:

Anything by TimmJ :*))
Our country demands all our strength, all our energies. To resist the powerful combination now forming against us will require every man at his place. If victorious we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.

I have to agree with skiking.  Although the majority of us have never met, we are all friends.  Some people come and go, but there is this great core of guys that hang out frequently.  It's a great place to hang out.

It's good to be here and a pleasure to know all of you!

I can't say there was any one or two things that were the most profound or funny . I know there have been quite a few things that were unique. I guess some of the posts by dog20 really made me chuckle and of course our "class clown" we have on here who always keeps everyone on their toes waiting to see what's going to happen next.... O0

I cant say that there is anything that is a stand out for me.  I just enjoy everyones post.  Warhawk keeps us on our toes with all of his questions and memory flash backs.  It may be easy for some to say that they just enjoy the forum, but I truely enjoy everyones post, the good and the bad.
