They give them free at my office... so I get one every year. Plus the nurses have usually been hott
They give them for free at my office as well, but I never get one.
Naw...rarely medicate if it's not necessary...
plus with all the strains...I'm bound to get one of the others that are NOT being prevented by the shot!
My thoughts exactly. And I've had a pretty good track record healthwise, without the flu shot. I did get really sick in December 2006, about a week before Christmas, but I'm not really sure it was the flu. And I think that's the year that there weren't enough vaccines available anyway.
The one time I took a flu shot ... I was sick all winter. I blame the flu shot.
I haven't had one in forever but I'm gonna get one this year - they're offering them for free at work. My brother is a type 1 diabetic and my mom's health condition is dictating my necessity this year. Mom's doc told her it is imperative that we all get one this year esp considering she'll likely be having a pacemaker put in right b4 Christmas.
My company actually does the majority of the clinics in the United States. There is no way to get sick from the flu shot - However, if you are coming down with a cold/get sick within 2 weeks after, it tends to make it worse.
I also debate getting it every year, only because it hurts
First of all I hate needles and I usually never get the flu anyway. So I don't take the flu shot. Back in school they gave the TB test, that needle with the 4 tines. And every time I got that ,a few minutes later I got very nauseous.People tried to tell me it was my nerves but I didn't believe them because others have told me that they felt some nausea after that shot.I say leave well enough alone. My cousin gets every shot that's out there but then again, she's a major hypochondriac. Maybe the elderly should get it but I think it's overrated.
They offer them free at work but I never get them. Last year i got the flu....... I get it about every 6 or 7 years, so I'm good until about 2014!!!
My docotr did tell me last year that now that I'm getting "older" I should get one every year.
