Annual Flu Shots

Well, I'm off to get my annual flu shot in another 40 minutes and it got me to thinking....does anyone else get them every year? I know the guys I use to work with never got them....how about you guys?

I try to get one every year.  I'm not sure if it helps, but it doesn't hurt.

I get one every year when I go in for the Fall blood work session.

They give them free at my office... so I get one every year. Plus the nurses have usually been hott

I never take the flu shot.  I work in healthcare and I figure I'm exposed to enough crap.
Besides, it's an educated guess.  last year, they missed the strains all together.  Remember that?

In the last 5 years, the only time I have gotten the Flu is the year that I get the Flu shot.  So, no I will not bet getting one anymore.

I have heard that before too.  They say it doesnt give you the flu...but why do so many who normally do not get the flu...get it after the shot???  EXPLAIN THAT MR PHYSICIAN!

I asked my Doctor about that a couple years ago because I know people who had gotten the flu after getting the shot. He said if they got the flu after the shot it was just a coincidence and they would have gotten it anyway.....he said there is no way you can get the flu from getting the shot.....but I suppose if someone gets the flu right after getting the shot there is no way your going to convince them it didn't come from the shot.....so...who knows??

Naw...rarely medicate if it's not necessary...

plus with all the strains...I'm bound to get one of the others that are NOT being prevented by the shot!

Never get them....did in the past and every time I did...i was sick within a few days
