I sort of get a kick out of seeing those commericials on TV. I have to ask my self why don't they just go sly and look great in sunglasses. The prices these hair restoration clinics charge will break the bank. What do you think of those commericials? Thx

to be honest with you they piss me off lol. Theyre insulting sly people by spending tons and tons of money on hair restoration products instead of just shaving there heads and going sly.
theyre basically saying "ill do anything in the world to not be bald!" like sly looks bad or something.

I think some of the men on those commericals where they show the before and after pics actually looked better bald. !! And...I hate the ones where they tell you that your basically a loser without hair ....

To me..... this is a classic case of preying on people's emotions/insecurities/fears. I can't respect any business, group or organization that makes money doing that.

The worst thing is after they're through with taking your money and you're still losing your hair and you've run out of donor sites.
They've scared your head up so bad you have to have plastic surgery so you can have a decent looking shaved head.

Like most money making opportunities, they only tell you the good stuff. Not the risks or that fact that it doesn't work for everyone. I can empathize with hair loss, but I think acceptance is the best option.
Embrace the new you!

I hate these commercials so much

and I used to feel pretty uncomfortable watching them with friends when I "was" balding. Much better now when sly.

Some people think, because of all these commercials, that balding is easily curable and those that have MPB are just lazy. True story.

Yeah, rar, media has made it appear that it is easy to do transplants, and that we should do it no matter what.
During my early stages of hairloss, i would tell people that I'm losing my hair. Instantly their reaction was "well why not get surgery?"

Hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If people feel as if they need to have fake hair to feel better about themselves, who am I to say what's right for them? I just know it's not for me. I've found THE BEST way to deal with my MPB and the sebhoerric dermatitis that has afflicted me for years, and that's going sly.
Plus, these commercials usually give me a chuckle...now, please pass the chips & salsa...kickoff is two minutes away!

My favorite is the "Touch of Gray" commercial where the old looking dude is onstage with the blonde and "wipeout" is supposibly being played by his band there and he is swinging the guitar like a dork

Of course this is right after his day of surfing.... cowabunga dork

I used to get a chuckle out of the "hair in a can" commercials.

Yeah dude spray-paint your monkey-butt and suddenly you'll be handsome rich and famous.
Years ago in church the minister mentioned in his sermon that they did a study on people who had hair resoration liposuction and other cosmetic surgeries. It turns out they feel great for about two weeks. Then it's back to the same old depression and feeling rotten that drove them to the action in the first place. The reason of course was that only the packaging had changed. The person inside was still the same and still had self-esteem and confidence issues.
