Been visiting SBG for over a year and finally going sly full-time.  So now the back of my head is now more attractive than the front!  Like many of you have done, went from 3 to 2 to 1 and sly only on vacations from work.  This past week I've been sly full time and only 2 comments have been made - both were "neutral" acknowledgements.  Was hoping for more feedback, positive or negative, so I knew what people thought of it.  But also like many of you have said, most people probably couldn't care less.

As luck would have it, HB products were 25% off this week at the local K-Mart so I'm already well supplied with the necessary equipment.  Waited for the weekend to use the HB because of the posts from those of you who said you were a bloody mess the first time you used it.  No problem here - found it was very easy to use and not a nick or scratch to be found!

Glad to finally be a member of the Sly Fraternity.  I'm sure it'll be permanent-already can't wait to remove the "sandpaper" feel every morning!

Welcome SAL,
Glad to see that even as a lurker for a year we were able to provide insight and info to help you take the step.
So did you shower shave or sink shave? Just curious which routine you chose to follow.
Also, hope you used some aloe or Bald Guyz moisturzer after... nothing more soothing or smoothing  8)

Routine?  SAS  (sink after shower).  Everything I know in life I've learned from SBG.  Already got the exfoliation routine down and even have the Natural Glow lotion to eliminate "Casper head".  Tried the ice cube idea but not sure the pain is worth it - that hurts like hell man! :'(

PAIN!  PAIN?  Thats not pain.  Damn that feels good. Rubbin that icecube over your freshly shaved noggin.  So when you said pain...was it like an icecrem brain freeze?  Ouch ...right thar boys...dat hurts.

Yea, can't do ice cube on first week. Too fresh for that yet. I would suggest trying shaving in a hot shower once and then give a cold water rinse right before you get out. What that does is closes the pores quick and helps eliminate irritation. No need to get frozen yet  :)

Never had an ice cream headache in my life (and I'm addicted to the stuff) so don't know.  I live up north where it can get to -40 so I know what cold is --- tongue on the pump handle stuff.  

This was worse!!!
