That is so true. I was born in 78 but I lived in the sticks. We didnt have street lights, my mother told me to be home before it gets too dark.
My kids have a wii and a 360 and they play it all the time, I went in and took the power cords away the other day because they had been playing for 6 hours straight. I tell them that there is other stuff to do other than video games and they give me a blank look. Then I get all nostaligic and tell them 'when I was a kid...' most of the time I tell them to play in the woods or at the creek or go do dumb stuff with their friends like dare someone to pee on hotwire.
I agree with Tim, kids are too pampered these days, my kids have cell phones, tv's in their rooms, 2 desk top computers, tons of video games, motor scooters, quads, and loads of other stuff. When I was a kid we just had bikes and lots of friends. I remember doing dumb stuff like jumping off the barn roof and seeing who could go out farther, sledding off the barns, going riding in the mountains, even mess with the cattle or play with BB guns.
 Ah, the good ol' days
