GIVING headshaving instructions in public...
« on: September 25, 2008, 09:27:54 AM »
hello fellow chrome domes:  when was the last time U gave some headshaving instructions in public?  i'll start:  it was about a month ago when i was getting my tires rotated and balanced.  the tire guy was sporting the slick, shiny noggin'.  we were comparing R headshaving routines & he wanted 2 try some parts of my routine.

the tire guy uses the mach 3.  i told him about the cold water rinse, ice cube rub, & witch hazel.  he stated that he will use it on his next headshave.  i also gave him a SBG business card & he stated that he would visit the site.

so... how 'bout U?  ever give headshaving instructions in public?  when was the last time?  what's  your story?

Yesterday in front of my store.  A kid stopped me and asked me how i got it sooo smooth.  He was a head shaver but looked really rough.  Told him ..practice practice practice.  But, that it was easily done.  Gave him a few pointers and off he went.

Does holding down your little brother when you were kids and cutting all his hair off considered headshaving instructions ??       ;D

Other than that I can't think of any.....

A guy I know asked me how I did it.  I told what I do.  Go to CVS and buy a Mach3 and some headslick.
He has a full head of hair like I do.  He said he was thinking about it just for something different.  Told him that was exactly my story.  We'll see................

About two weeks ago I went to the grocery store with my roommate, I picked up some shaving cream and she asked me why I go through so much more shaving cream than her brothers did.  I have been bald for five months and I have known her for three years, she knows that I didn't lose all my hair overnight.  I told her that I shave my head and not just my face.  the rest of our trip through the store she kept wanting to know how I did it without nicking myself or missing spots.  when we got to the checkout, the cashier overheard our conversation and he was thinking about going bald and wanted to know how I did it.

Every time I meet a new sly dude in my travels we have a discussion on how to get the dome nice and slick. I get others asking me every so often how and why I shave.

I find it very similar Al. Everytime I encounter a sly guy the conversation quickly turns to " what do you use and how do you shave, etc."
Tis better to have a bald head than no head at all.

I was telling Warhawk earlier that I had went to the gas station today and this guy pulls up that I sorta recognized but wasnt sure walks in.  He greets me and says hey buddy I havent seen you in a long time, almost didnt recognize you with teh slick noggin.  I said "yes its prudy slick aint it"  He started to ask me how I did it and what I used.   He then also said you know...there are some guys who can pull it off and there are some who cant and that I did the job really good.  I told him thanks , really appreciated that.  He gave me a tap on top of the noggin and said keep up the good work.  So all of this standing in line at the cashier. LOL
