Hey all,
well, i got some really bad news today and i thought that i would share it with you all since you guys seem to be there for one another.
This morning i got a phone call from my brother saying that my father had passed away either last night or this morning. They found him in his home on the couch. appearantly , a blood vessel in his throat had ruptured and he pretty much drowned in his blood. sorry if that is too graphic for you guys.
Any ways, i'm 23 years old, and lost my mother at the age of 15 from a heart attack, so now i'm parentless... do any of you guys have a similar situation? if so, how did you get through it. i'm still kind of a young guy and this just sucks! also, i'm quiet today for obvious reasons, and i'm in a long distance relationship, and my girlfriend started and argument because i didn't really feel like talking... that just adds to all this!!!! anyways, thanks for reading about my rants, i'd love to get any and all advice from you guys!

Your "girl friend" doesn't sound like much of a friend.
It's always rough coping with the loss of a loved one babb4214.
Maybe she just doesn't want you wallowing in self pity?
In any case, mourning a loss isn't a bad thing.
It's gets easier to cope with every day that passes.
Try to keep your chin up.

babb4214, my heart goes out to you Bro. I am very sorry to hear about your father.
I lost my Dad 3 days before I turned 16, and lost my Mom 1 day before I turned 32. I have a good idea of what you are going through. The grieving process hits everyone differently. I'ts understandable to want your space at this time, but keep family close. They will need you as much as you need them. I won't lie to you, this is going to be a rather tough road to negotiate. BUT, you WILL! It takes time to heal. I don't have all the answers, but you are welcome to PM me and I will try to help as much as I can.
I will keep you in my prayers.

Babb, I'm very sorry to hear about your dad. I just sent a prayer for you and your family. You've already started in the right direction. Reach out to others. It may be family, friends, church family or a bunch of bald guys on a web site. You can and will recieve support and comfort from others.
