Check out the South Beach Diet. Go get the book and read the first portion where it explains how food is used by your body and what is and isn't good.

That in itself is an eye opener.

This diet is not a fad diet but a change of lifestyle diet. I lost 13 pounds in the first two weeks and I was nowhere near obese. I lost 29 overall in about 7 weeks. I've kept most off for two years but I need to get back down a few pounds.

I'm also a fan of Biggest Loser. They have a website

www.biggestloserclub.com

that can help you out.

Yea I hit up the web site last night.  I have heard of the South Beach Diet, but have not read anything on it, so I will get the book and read it.

I wonder if the Army would let me go back in just to go through BOOT CAMP again to lose the weight?    :D :D

Sly, great minds think alike. I was just thinking the same thing. A buddy of mine that served with me at Osan AB, Korea in 1986-87 just went back into the service on 10 SEP 08 (Army this time...just like I did) after being out since 1989. He is 43 years old! So I was thinking, sh*t I'm only 3 years older than he is...

slyinglide:
I think the cut off now is 44 years old......when in the heck did they raise it.....when I was in it was 36 years old for max age for enlistment.

The Anvil:
I have had a couple offers this week to go back in. (ARMY) Pretty funny that As a Fly Boy the big tuff Army wants me! (ha) The bonus to sign is crazy, just don't know if I want to be in the desert for the rest of my life!
