How far would you go?
« on: September 04, 2008, 04:33:42 PM »
I want to know how dedicated you Sly Guys are to being Sly...........How far would you go to stay sly?

For example.....A couple of years ago I was unemployed for about a year and low, very low on money.  I could not even afford to purchase razor blades.  I I went as far as getting some 1200 grit sand paper and trying to resharpen the blades by hand. I even bought a straight razor for 3 bucks at a garage sale.  Thank God I didn't have to use it.  I started another job and everything was Okey Dokey.   How far would you go?

I was told to think outside the box, how did I get in the box in the first place?

If I had to, I would use Mrs. BW's Remington elecric shaver! :-[

And a lot of witch hazel! :)

I would stand at a busy intersection with a tattered cardboard sign that read "Will Work for Razor Blades".....

When you said 1200 grit sand paper, I thought oh no he didn't!  Thankfully I kept reading and found out you were sharpening blades and not sanding your head.

well here is my plan.  I have to go to Haiti...and we dont have hot or even warm water.  COLD SHOWERS MEANS A COLD HEAD SHAVE.  I am gonna give it one hell of a try though.  Even if i have to heat water by a match light.

You can buy a portable shower kit which holds about 5 gallons of H2O.  You fill it, hang it in the sun, and have hot water.  Check some place like LL Bean, REI or Dick's.
