CVS3 Shave System
« on: September 03, 2008, 09:07:15 AM »
This razor and the blades are sold at CVS stores and it is their own "brand".

I've been buying the CVS3 blades (triples) for my HeadBlade for months now. They come (4) blades to a package for $5(this is about $3 less than a pack of HB triples). About every other month they have a special where if you buy a pack of the blades you get a pack for half price.

So anyway..... last week I went to buy the CVS3 blades and they were having the "buy one get one half off" sale going. The sale included the CVS3 razor. So I picked up some blades and the razor. The razor included two triple blades in the package so for $2.50 i got the razor and two blades.
I bought  the razor because I could then use the same blades for both my face and HeadBlade.
i have been using a Gillette Sensor double razor. I liked the shave but kept nicking my chin with the damn thing.

REVIEW:

CVS3 triple blades - They are excellent and fit the standard headblade adapter. They give a nice close shave on both the head and the face.   Each blade lasts me a week and I'm a daily shaver. At around $1 per blade they are an excellent value. I rarely nick myself with these blades.
Rating on a scale of 1 (low) to 5(high) : I give these blades a 5.

CVS3 Razor - The razor felt a bit small in my hand but i held it next to my Sensor and it was about the same size.... just contoured differently.
The ergonomics are very good and it is easy to hold/handle. It is a very light razor and has a pivoting head. i had to use this razor a couple of times to really get the knack of the pivoting head..... I kept missing the same few spots every time..... but no big deal. I get an excellent shave with this razor combined with the blades reviewed above.

Ratings: Closeness of Shave : 5
              Ergonomics              : 4
              Value                       : 5

This a great razor and blades for the cost. I highly recommend both.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been making a mental note of all the blades people recommend for the headblade, I'll pick some of these up.

I have been using these blades with my headblade.   These blades are the ones I prefer the most.   O0

Have you guys tried the Sensor 3 blades?

I don't have a CVS around here so I looked at their website, is this the Mach3 looking thing?
