What are/were your pet's name?
« on: August 29, 2008, 04:17:55 PM »
As most of you know, we welcomed a new four-legged member to our family last week. Now he came with a name, Niles. I haven't had a pet, I prefer K9 comapnions, since the end of 2002. Her name was Kato (I know, should have been Kati). We have already talked about getting another dog and it's name would be Morgan.

What is/was your pet's name?

My three pooches are Quincy and Ryleigh (two Shih Tzus that my wife named).....

and then my dog Cooper .... a fine Boston Terrier

My old greyhound that I had to have put down about 18 months ago was named "Lager". I didn't name him, he came from the track with that name (Voodoo Lager). As soon as my wife heard his name was Lager she looked at me and said, " That hound is meant to be yours, get him".
I always said I was going to get a second male greyhound and name him "Jack"... that way i would have a shot and a beer.

1 dog, terrier, chihuahua, korgi mix, named Buster.  3 cats, Pixie, Morris, and a 19lb tom cat named Bighead.  My buddies always tell me that's why I wear glasses, from playing with Bighead too much. :D

I've got a black lab/boxer mix.  I call him BLACK DOG.  And a black lab/golden retriever mix.  I call him YELLOW DOG.  Before I started calling them that, their names were Aspen and Riley.

(I did not name either one of them).  Got more friggin cats running around the house than I can get with my pellet gun in a life time. I think the girls opened a cat sanctuary with out letting me know!!!!!!! :Xo!
I was told to think outside the box, how did I get in the box in the first place?

I had a Bullmastiff girl called Cleo.
Then we had a German Shepherd called Schleppel.
We've now got a Bullmastiff by the name of Vincent.

A red dobie, named after New Orleans R&B artist Irma Thomas.  Miss Irma was born on St. Patricks Day.  She's the latest in a line of Dobies, two reds and a black.  We named them for characters in Tennessee Williams plays and the like, Alma, Zena and Stella.  Stella worked out a little differently than I imagined because she was a very friendly dog and people got to know her name and would stand in front of our house yelling "Stella!"  I thought I'd be the Stanley in her life, and instead she had numerous Stanley's. ;D ;D ;D

Our current dog's name is "Buddy".  Only because that is the name he had when we got him, (and it did seem to fit him).  We toyed around with changing it, but Buddy just seemed to stick with him.
