Hello everyone. I already had a post going in to be or not be bald but figured I'd properly introduce myself.
Shaving my head bald has been one of the most empowering and liberating experiences of my adult life. I'm beyond happy and actually quite proud of myself that I'm no longer a prisoner to a hairline doomed for failure. It seemed that the more self conscious I became about my hairline the less freedom I had to explore my life on this planet.
In less than a week of being sly I've done a few things that vanity has prevented me from doing the past several years: I went swimming in the ocean on a crowded beach; drove to work 75mph with windows down and sunroof open; Played a round of golf while putting on and taking off my hat at my leisure; Shot a game of pool in a crowded bar without wearing a hat; Took a 60 second shower; Woke up and immediately went outside... there's more but I'll stop there.
I'd like to say I'm the same person with or without hair but I'm not. The shaved head has given me a new look to embrace and the confidence along with it. I plan to exploit those two things to the best of my ability.
