Playing With My Beard
« on: August 24, 2008, 02:05:15 PM »
Ok, since I have been on the site I have toyed around with my beard a lot. It's fun. But sometimes the results are not entirely... pleasant. Lemme know what you think with this current little chin hair. Is it too little hair? My mother begs me not to grow a really thick beard because she says I look upside down. hahaha With this look, I actually look frighteningly like my deceased father when he was younger.

I concur. O0
Tis better to have a bald head than no head at all.

One more vote for the avitar pic.  Gives you a more youthful appearance.

Well, I am pretty sure I will grow the beard back, but I don't know what style to grow it to. The beard in my avatar looks to ME like I was kicked out of the Backstreet Boys.

J, i think the chin goat is a good look.
Although my clean shaven work picture doesn't imply it, I mix it up with the beard almost on a weekly basis, because it's fun and i'm a facial hair commitment phobe.  Keep having fun with it.  Go with the lightening bolt burns next.

I think you look good either way.

My mother begs me not to grow a really thick beard because she says I look upside down...
LOL. I actually overheard a little girl in a grocery store pipe up with: "Mommy! Mommy! That man's head is on upside down!" on an occasion when I had a full beard. It had to be me she was talking about!

P.S. Full beard with sly head is a look I really like.

I was told to think outside the box, how did I get in the box in the first place?

Hey JD!

For what it's worth, I think you can pull off either look, and do it quite well!!! O0

Why don't you try letting the 'stache get a little wider and let the beard grow up a little further on your cheeks.   Strangely enough, the beard does make you look younger.  But your face shape seems to work best with a full beard.

Well, When I first shaved my head, I had this going.

I think it has two problems. It's too much beard. I could do with it growing thicker, but I don't really want quite so much hair...and secondly, I have a bald spot and a really thin connector between mustache and beard. You can see the big bald spot on both sides of my mustache...so I have been shaving the cheeks down to avoid having the patchy look.
