Sly Politicians
« on: August 19, 2008, 11:55:20 PM »
It's election time!  Don't worry, I am NOT getting political!  But when I got my Washington State Voters Pamphlet for the State Primary, I noticed THREE Sly guys running for office.  So it seems that the Sly look is now mainstream enough to not matter when running for office.

The first is running for 7th Congressional District as a Republican.  He is Steve Beren.  I believe that he gives a eager and intellectual look to Slyness.  He rocks the goatee and mustache well.

The second is running for the 11th State Legislative District as a State Senator, Democrat.  He is Juan Martinez.  He gives off a cheerful "Mr. Clean" look.  But he also has the only picture that I could find that I could post here.  Sorry that it is so small!

The last is running for the non partisan King County Superior Court judge position.  He is Nic Corning.  He gives off the "Sly Santa" look.  I have to admit that he has my favorite look, since I kind of resemble his look anyway, in terms of beard, slyness and weight.

So now vote on who of the politicians  has your favorite look.  PLEASE don't vote on party affiliation.  Just who has the best Sly look!

Also, please add entries with your local Sly Politicians picture and maybe add them to this vote.

Here are the websites for the fellows I mentioned here!

Not that I expect  every topic to attract many people, but I would have thought that there would be some other states with Sly politicians. So let us know about the Sly politicians in other states, provinces or countries!

 :x!     ???

I don't know what my local politicians look like.  I usually go by their written views that they publish in the local press, often without a photo.

My wife has commented that since we moved here from Chicago, she has seen more bad toupees in a year than she remembers seeing in Chicago in the 25 years we were there.

Indeed, Ohio seems to be toupee central.  If I did note that a politician wears a toupee, I would wonder what else he is hiding.  Sly, on the other hand, conveys a certain openness that may affect how I would view them as a public servant.

Here in Oregon, I can't find a Sly politician,  but we have our hands full of corrupt ones.
I was told to think outside the box, how did I get in the box in the first place?

Jesse Ventura was the last one I could think of.

Since I have a friend in Fairbanks, AK, I decided to look up something about North Pole, AK, which is nearby.  Upon looking at the official website for North Pole, I saw that its' mayor is sly.  So here is a look at Doug Isaacson!
