Don't send your wife to Lowe's
« on: August 15, 2008, 05:19:15 PM »
Charlie was fixing a door and found that he needed a new hinge, so he sent his wife Jane to Lowe's.
At Lowe's, Jane saw a beautiful bathroom faucet while she was waiting for Walt the manager to finish waiting on a customer. When Walt was finished with the customer, Jane asked 'How much for that faucet?
Walt replied, 'That's pewter and it costs $300.'
My goodness that sure is a lot of money!' Jane exclaimed.
Then she proceeded to describe the hinge that Charlie had sent her to buy, and Walt went to find it.
From the back aisle Walt yelled, 'Jane, you wanna screw for that hinge? She replied, 'No, but I will for the faucet.'

People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

my wife wouldnt even be able to find Lowe's.  Good thing we dont have one here in our town.  We still use the ol mom and pop hardware store that has been around since 1930's.  They still have everything in bins, old wooden floors.  Logan loves going in there because it is so much different than the more conventional hardware stores.  It will be a sad day when it comes time to close it...but I think it has alot of years left on it.  Like everyone here in washington says....If Greenwood's dont have it....you dont need it.

We used to have a couple of mom and pops hardware stores. Now we have 2 lowes and 2 home depots. I miss the mom and pop stores.

I love to find a traditional HW store
