Teen, as a retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant I can tell you that no words can fully convey the actual experience of becoming a Marine. You have heard stories and seen films like Full Metal Jacket that attempt to portray bootcamp but that is Hollywood and nothing comes close reality. You have to experience it, no one can really tell you about it. I will say that whether you join for 4 years or a career, it requires dedication 24/7 to your country and your Corps. It IS something that no one can ever take from you and you will belong to a brotherhood unlike any other in our nation.

It's something NCOs (Non-Commissioned Officers) say when someone addresses them as 'Sir'.

Ow hell, not the Marine thing again.......
Do you want to experience something new? Something exciting? Do you want to travel? Do you want to meet new people? Do you want to be yelled at, told you are worthless, told you are lower than worm SH*T. Do you want to run every morning 5 to 10 miles. and do endless numbers of push-ups. Do you want to be told how to fold your clothes, make your bed, shine your shoes, wipe your ass? Do you want to learn that what you thought you could do is actually more than you could have imagined. Do you want to meet friends that you will have for the rest of your life? Do you want to learn what Respect is, Honor, Discipline, Pride, and Humility?
If you answered YES to these questions, then you should join the military..........Pick the one You think is right for you. They all have Pro's and con's..........

What do you want to do with your life? What are you goals and ambitions? It's hard to tell you the pros and cons of each branch....it all depends on what you are looking to do with your life and any special interests that you may have....
