Lot's of Blood !!!

Firstly,

Hello to all of my Sly Bros..
 
I am a first time poster, but a long time lurker.

I've been sly for about 4 months and I used to be sly for about 9 years before this, you know around the time when being sly was strange to many folks. Anywho, something really crazy happened the other day in the shower when I was shaving with my fusion. By the way I usually shave with the HB Sport, but I was trying to experiment with the new fusion I recently got for free.  I did the usual routine you guys know shaving oil, headslick, alcohol spray on the blades etc.. Well I did my usual two passes for the fresh baby but smooth shave, and proceeded with the cold water rinse and went to rub my chrome dome and I had this burning sensation on the top back, then I took a quick look at the palm of my hand and lo and behold there was a chunk of the dome and lots and lots of blood. That's right, I had a gusher. I had to jump out and grab the blood stop and that almost didn't work. I thought I would have to go to the E.R. to get stitches, but I got the gusher to stop. Thanks to God.  Well, here's my question to the Bros. How can I keep the sly fresh with this hole in the top of the dome ? Thanks in advance for any comments, sugestions etc.

Man I know how you feel..that happened to me last week when I was trying the new headblade for the first time...I had bloos everywhere..I have not shaved the Dome since, and it is driving me nuts. but keep stiff upper lip, your head, thank god, heals faster than any other part of your body, because I am now ready to get rid of the irritating crap on my head TODAY.. YAHOO
I probably could have shaved Sunday with a little care, but decided to wait a couple of more days.

Welcome to the Forum.....can't really help you with the razor problem since I use the electric razor 99% of the time....but wanted to say welcome anyway.....Good Luck!!

Best to shave the rest of the dome at the sink, with a mirror and leave that spot for the electric

What's the deal with the electric, it won't irritate the wound ? Not really familiar with the electric. Always shave with the razors.

Welcome!  Yeah, it sounds like you'll need to use the electric.  It shouldn't irritate the wound, just don't go over the wound very much.

b 'n p:  welcome 2 the sly fraternity.  the bros gave U some gr8 advice.  hope U heal fast.  i'm a fusion (manual) user & it gets my dome the smoooothest.  hope U stick with the fusion.

Thanks for the advice my Sly Bros. , I decided just to chill out for a couple of days to let the scab form and then maybe go back at it tomorrow morning. Good thing is I had a couple of days off of work so I let it go for that time because I basically stayed in. But, tomorrow, back to the bricks and I have got to represent the best Sly that I can. You know what I'm sayin' ? Got to keep it smooth !!!

What's a good non expensive electric shaver ? Never ventured on the otherside. Completely lost to using the electric. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Also, thanks to all the Sly Bros. that responded previously.
