DO U drink red bulls or any other energy drinks...
« on: August 08, 2008, 09:14:32 AM »
hello fellow chrome domes:  i remember my last topic (COFFEE) & we had a lot of replies & some interesting conversations.  i've discovered red bulls (sugarless) about a month ago.  i'm normally a coffee drinker (still am) but i average one or 2 red bulls a day.

so... how 'bout U?  do U drink red bulls?  or any other type of energy drink 2 keep ya going?  or if not what's your beverage of choice 2 keep ya going?  what's your story?

Can't do the energy drink for the pick me up thing, it makes me more sluggish or tired when the quick pick me up goes away. (it's not too good on the ol ticker either)

Monster Rules!!!  I've been addicted to energy drinks for at least 2 years.  Sometimes 3 or 4 a day.  My favorite is the Lo-Carb variety.  Say what you will about negative health effects, but I started lifting weights and exercising (again) about the same time I started drinking energy drinks, and I've lost 30 pounds of fat over the past 2-3 years. Sometimes when I'm on a long trek on the bike (and occasionally in the car) I do.
As a bit of a boost when concentration is starting to fade, a walk around, Red Bull & Snickers is enough to get on for another hour or so.
And I also find that once the hit wears off I do start to feel lower than before.

Yes, I've recently been enlightened on how poisonous that stuff really is.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Our country demands all our strength, all our energies. To resist the powerful combination now forming against us will require every man at his place. If victorious we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.

I used to drink one about everyday driving in to work.  Usually would grab whatever was sugar-free. The Monster in the Blue can is ok. My favorite one tasted like Grapefruit but I cant recall who made it. After awhile I think I got burned out on them, plus they aren't cheap. I rarely drink them these days. I drank a monster last week-end, but that was the first one I'd had in months.
Remember to never take my advice seriously (unless I'm being serious) and you'll do alright.
