Christmas decorations for sale in August?
« on: August 07, 2008, 06:38:14 AM »
Well I guess this is a first as I was walking thru Costco yesterday with my wife, I noticed some Christmas decorations already out for sale.

Retailers never cease to amaze me.

Now, that's just plain wrong!  I work across the street from Costco.  I will have to check it out!

That's kinda scary Brkeatr.  Sounds like companies feel we will have more money available now than at Christmas.   That's a pretty gloomy outlook

Um...Timmmay...you did it again, bro

saw the word "Christmas".....and that's it...you just hit the reply...something about the meaning of christmas...

.....context, man....context !!!

-------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, J_B.....that is rather disturbing, man...

That means that at some level....all things are leading now to Christmas....and I for one have a lot to do before the end of the year...business and otherwise...

Makes me feel like I'm already behind..

Kinda like the car makers saying we have 2009's in the middle of 2008  :*))

It is really beyond me why they push for early, early purchases for holidays to come 6 mo in advance.

Yeah....when I was a kid, that used to trip me out.  "How can you buy a '75 car when we're not even half over with '74?

it's the same over here.. it seems to happen earlier and earlier every year. It's not just christmas either, 2 weeks after Christmas they'll start stacking the shelves with Easter eggs.

It won't be long till they start advertising on the t.v.!
