Hard Rock throughout the 80's (still am), though in the late 80's (post college) I was getting into jazz.

As I've posted in other musical threads, a band I truly love is The Rippingtons. The attached is a "video" for the song Los Cabos (hard to call it a video since it's just a still shot of the Arches in Los Cabos). This song is one of my favorite by the Ripps from the 1987 alubm Kilimanjaro. FYI, for all you geography snobs, please....I'm aware Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania.

I'm sure I've heard that in a lift/elevator somewhere.. ::)

Hey, watch it.  :Xo!

just teasin'!!  :@`  :@`

Hello again MagmaBabe,

You hit a nerve with this one.... albeit, a good nerve.  I also enjoyed the 80's... mostly the music.

Here's a small selection that I just randomly picked from my library... music in general is a huge part of my life... I have tons of stuff!!  Great discussion!!!

Some Classic 80’s

Modern English ----

Dexy’s Midnight Runner ----

Altered Images ---

Kim Wilde ---

Lipps, Inc. ----

Our Daughters Wedding ---

Some Metal/Glam Rock

Ozzy Osbourne ----

Def Leppard ---

Quiet Roit ----

Rush ---

Whitesnake ---

Some Hip Hop/Rap/R&B

Planet Patrol---

Malcom McClaren ----

Boogie Boyz ---

Sir Mix-a-lot -----

Color Me Badd ---

And yes... my favorite country song... George Jones kicks mucho ass!!!

George Jones ----

everyone loves the eighties (they weren't that bad!) but what is your favourite song from the eighties.. or your favourite style of music?

I love this....

Hey RazorX, as I said to FR8TRAIN, I stand corrected!!!

This is no big deal, but I noticed that Jimmy Buffet, Fred Campbell and George Jones pop-up during my searches... do you by any chance know who does that version of the song.  Only reason, I do some D.J.'ing on the side and I don't want to look like an "a$$hole" (which I have clearly done-did hear) giving out the wrong info.  ??? :-[ ???

Thanx partner!!

I'm not positive but I think it is Jimmy Buffett.
