Well here in the Midwest we are in the middle of canning season. All the gardens are producing great crops. Many have gardens that they use to can up for the winter. I know we have a few gardeners in here and I know of one member who as we speak is in his kitchen canning right now.
I have a terrible story to tell you all. JUST PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH PRESSURE COOKERS! My grandfather called yesterday to tell us of a tragic event that happened to his "Ladyfriend". She was canning up veggies yesterday using a pressure cooker. Well they found her dead on the kitchen floor and the pressure cooker had exploded. How it all happened no one knows but they found shrapnel in her arms, chest and face. They do not know if she had died before the explosion or did she die because of the explosion.
Just wanted to pass that along to you all. Pressure cookers have a mind of their own sometimes. PLEASE USE CAUTION!
