I should be able to make it.
Hey, why don't we pair it with the Monday Night Football game on 9/29?
Baltimore @ the Steelers.

Why would I avoid Berkeley?
Triple Rock Brewery has some of the best beer I've ever had.

No obstacles........since I'm not in the military, I'll be welcomed in Berkeley.
However, I don't know any sports bars in Bezerkley.

Actually, Triple Rock has apparently installed some HD TV's for game viewing.
I used to go there often after playing hockey (it's my understanding the Berkeley Iceland still has the biggest ice surface in North America).
We're not getting together for the sole purpose of watching Monday Night Football. In fact, Monday the 29th might be tough for me. I forgot about practices.....I coach my daughter's soccer team and we have practices on Mondays.
I'd have no problems tipping a few pints of their Red Rock (6.0 APV...good brew).
http://www.triplerock.com/Unless someone comes up with something different, I say let's "Meet at the Rock" on a different day. But, if that's the only day that works, I'll make it happen.....
Thoughts?

OK guys, here's what I got...
Since Red and Schro brought up Berkeley (and it's closer than SF for both Schro and I) I decided to go with gathering there. Any objections? Good!
I have found 4 nice places for us to choose from. All serve mainly beer (nectar of the Gods) and food. They have TV's for watching sports but do not have pools tables, darts, etc.
Triple Rock Brewery http://www.triplerock.com/A classic Brewery/Alehouse/Pub 3 1/2 blocks from BART (Red).
Barclay's Pub http://www.barclayspub.com/A
small Irish pub in the North Berkely Hills. 5 blocks from BART.
Pyramid Alehouse http://www.pyramidbrew.com/alehouses/berkeley.phpAn East Bay landmark close to I-80/I-580. Not close to (more than walking distance from) BART.
Henry's Publick House & Grille (Inside the Durant Hotel)
http://www.henrysberkeley.comVery close to UC Berkeley and BART but can be a bit pricey.
So that is what I have come up with. I would like to hear your opinion on which place you would like to gather at. Once that is settled, I'll start making phone calls.

I've been to the Pyramid Alehouse and (obviously) Triple Rock, so I can comment on those two.
I'm totally fine with whatever the group decides, but if I have to cast a deciding vote between the Pyramid & Triple Rock,
I'll Meet you at the Rock.
Good work, Todd!
