Head Sweat Getting into My Eyes
« on: July 26, 2008, 03:23:16 PM »
Gee! I've never started a topic but boy (and girl) do I need help. It's been hot here on Long Island and I'm playing golf again with a hat on (of course).

The sweat is dripping into my eyes on a lot of shots. Is there something besides a head band that I can wear to reduce the amount of sweat pouring down on my face and into my eyes.

Thanks for any suggestions.........................

I feel your pain. I had to mow the lawn today (its how i pay "rent" to my parents  ;D ;D ). Anyway, wanted to get some color for my dome so I didn't wear a hat. Man the sweat was just rolling!

Anyway, besides a headband, a hat would help.

Headband is the only thing other than a basebal cap that I can think of.

YUP and THANKS. I better not put suntan lotion on (if I wear a hat) or put on Vaseline Moisture Lotion (like I do every morning).

Just one of the downsides of being bald. But Im not changing.

you could do it the old fashioned way with a hanky  :)

you'll need to scroll down a bit.. All hail the hanky!  :/O

I have a couple items from www.headsweats.com -- They are great for keeping sweat out of your eyes and protecting the dome, although I still put sunscreen on anyway.  I have one of the CoolMax Classics and one of the CoolMax Shortys.  They may seem a little pricey, but worth it IMO, and they wash up well and last.

How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Pretty much anything that will absorb the sweat will work. I have the same issue while working outside chaining/strapping loads. I picked up a ball cap that has an absorbent sweat band in it and it works like a charm.

Many of the "one size fits all" straw sun hats have such a stretchy absorbent band in them.

I can tell Magmababe has had holidays at Southend (where else) and is used to seeing your average Eastender with rolled up trousers, sandals with white socks and the great British Invention the Hanky with the 4 knots lol

Oooh, you've brought back memories of Margate.
Knotted hankies, string vests and fish and chips wrapped in newspaper.
"Dad, dad, can I go on the donkeys?"

Kids today don't know they're born.
